Since I had more experience in doing more creative work, I felt that I needed to expand on my design expertise in the realm of branding, where there are more constraints and refinement necessary, particularly concerning a third party. In my design class, we were able to work with clients that felt they needed to find their identity, or redefine their company image. In a collaborative group setting, our class set out to do exactly this, through the aid of Pennvention.  All companies listed below are related to medical instruments and applications.
Mechano Therapeutics
"Developing a therapeutic delivery platform using mechanically-activated microcapsule technology that enables tunable payload release in response to mechanical perturbation for regeneration of musculoskeletal tissues"
Keyword: microcapsule
Imagery of tissues and joints, as well as the microcapsule inspired this design.
Ostiio
"Ostiio is a Philadelphia medical device startup that’s just a few months old but has big ambitions: improving the quality of life for children with craniofacial defects, such as craniosynostosis and defects in the midface or lower jaw."
The company had requested an identity that emanated a warmer aura, since the device is mostly focused on children. Rounded shapes, more of an embracing image.
NeuroCAD
"Developing CAD software for neuroradiology and MRI scan post-processing."
Keyword: processing, data
We strove to elicit imagery of data bars and statistical elements through the reoccuring cylindrical shape.
